For
a Brillant Brew:
Begin with fresh water. Bring to a rolling boil and
remove kettle from heat. Swirl a bit in yout teapot
(or cup) to warm. Toss in 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per
cup and pour the hot water over the leaves. Cover and
infuse. Strain into a warm cup.
Best Brew Guide:
Black & Oolong: 4-5 min.
Green: 2-3 min.
Herbals / Tisanes: 5 min.
All teas naturally contain caffeine - on average 50
mg/cup. Herbals are naturally caffeine free.
Did You Know.....
Next to water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage
in the world! In 2005, Americans alone consumed over
50 billion servings. Tea contains no sodium, fat or
sugar and is naturally low in caffeine and has virtually
0 calories.
Believe it or not, all tea comes
from a single species of one plant called Camellia.
Tea types are categorized solely by the level of processing.
During fermentation the leaves are oxidized to different
stages, resulting in varied levels of color and pungency.

Green Tea
Key: §: loose leaf ~ ♦: clear sachets (bagged tea)
-
Jasmine, China; Organic Fair Trade™. This fragrant green tea is made by layering the lush green tea leaves with jasmine blossoms to impart a flowery perfume. The aroma will transport you to a jasmine garden in bloom yet the flavor is delicate and refreshing. Try it iced. § ♦
-
Green Earl Grey, Sri Lanka; Organic Fair Trade™. Adding bergamot flower blossoms to the tea leaves during the drying process creates a delicate natural floral infusion - a lovely compliment to the smooth green tea. ♦
-
Green Yun Wu, China; Organic China, the birthplace of tea. Our everyday green comes from the eastern Jiangsu province. This is a classic green with a light clean cup to be enjoyed all through the day. § ♦

Matcha! Japan; Organic Fair Trade™. Japanese green powdered tea. This shade grown tea is made only from the tips of the youngest Gyokuro tea leaves. The veins and stems are removed and the full leaves are ground into a fine, emeral powder. The powder dissolves in the cup and you consume the whole leaf. Matcha has one of the highest natural antioxidant levels of any other natural food ~70x that of OJ! Prepare in hot or cold liquids using water, soy, rice milk or cows milk...add it to smoothies or yogurt drinks too. §

Genmaicha, Japan: Sencha green tea with toasted brown rice and sesame. The toasted rice imparts a pleasant, slightly nutty flavor that compliments the natural grassy character of the tea. A light and flavorful cup to calm your day. §
-
Citrus Blossom; A blend of Chinese green and black tea with muira-puama wood, a hint of grapefruit. and the petals of blue mallow, marigold, rose and cactus blossoms § ♦
