Recycle, Reuse. Your coffee will arrive in a reusable aluminum can equipped with a high-tech barrier and a resealable plastic lid. Our packaging guarantees a "just roasted" flavor for 6 months, and it enables reuse & recycle.

Did you know...aluminum is the most abundant metal on earth? A used aluminum can is recycled and back in use in as little as 60 days! Making new aluminum cans from used cans takes 95% less energy and 20 recycled cans can be made with the energy needed to produce one can using virgin ore. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning for almost four hours. Visit www.earth911.org and learn!

About Us: Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea provides artisan roast coffees and exotic teas to both retail and food service markets throughout the United States. Owned and operated by Mané Alves, a native of Lisbon, Portugal who has worked in the wine and coffee industries for the past 18 years. Mané  travels extensively to coffee producing countries throughout Central America, South America and Asia where he speaks and teaches seminars in their native languages on coffee production and quality standards. With each trip Mané has nurtured direct relationships with the farms and families who cultivate the very products we sell.

This is Brent Ballard, our Coffee Roaster. Brent has been working in the food industry most of his adult life.  As a result, he has a refined pallette and nose and a heightened appreciation for fine food, wine and of course, coffee. Brent has been roasting with us for four years now. He loves what he does, and we do too! Send him your thanks, questions or just a hello ....we'll pass it along!

At Vermont Artisan, we have a resolute dedication to quality and freshness
and unwavering commitment to providing a product unsurpassed by all other brands.

  • We are environmentally conscious and chose our packaging specifically to promote reuse and recycle.
  • We buy direct, supporting only farms with the utmost respect and care for their people, their product, their land and their environment.
  • We buy only premium, single-estate coffee & tea. Others say it but we mean it ~ we'll only buy beans rating highest on the Specialty Coffee Grading Scale.
  • All of our products undergo careful quality, social and environmental inspection provided by Coffee Lab International.
  • We roast, pack and ship to order, nothings ever wharehoused.
  • Our coffees share a “roast date” for freshness. Our teas share a "pack date". So whether you buy our product directly from us or find it in your favorite store or restaurant, it’ll be the very best it can be .
